Saturday & In School Program for Grades K-5
Our free program happens twice a week throughout the school year in our partnering elementary schools.
On Saturdays, the program is for the whole family!
Kids and families meet at Bee Me Kidz Centres, located in community schools
Kids break out into groups for age-specific activities and sessions based on social & emotional learning
Parents & guardians attend Parent Group (with free childcare for Bee Me Kidz siblings)
Families attend a nutritious brunch
During the week, Bee Me Kidz goes to school!
Each Grade K-5 classroom is transformed into the Bee Me Kidz culture
Students learn important social and emotional skills from a Bee Me Kidz teacher in a fun, engaging way
Parent & Guardian Involvement
We know how important you are to your child's learning and growth, which is why parents & guardians are an essential part of our program.
Each Saturday, we offer parents & guardians the opportunity to socialize and learn with other community parents at Parent Group. As kids participate in their learning groups, parents share ideas, stories and parenting tips, they learn about their children’s curriculum, they hear from guest speakers on specific topics and much more.
And during this Parent Group, we offer free childcare for siblings of Bee Me Kidz children!
Healthy Food & Nutritional Education
Kids need to fuel their fun and learning with healthy, nutritious food! That's why our families enjoy a healthy, wholesome brunch together.
We also provide healthy snacks during our Saturday program and send the kids off with take-home snack bags.
We know that good food is brain fuel, so we make it a key component of our program.
About the PATHS® Curriculum
A key component of the Bee Me Kidz program is PATHS® (Promoting Alternative THinking Strategies) - an accredited and internationally recognized social/emotional learning program.
The PATHS® program provides a fun, flexible and engaging way to significantly improve social, emotional and cognitive skills that are so important to children’s success at school and in life. The curriculum focuses on five areas of social and emotional development: self-control, emotional understanding, self-esteem, peer relations and interpersonal problem solving skills.
